Junk Food Concepts That Will Never Make You Fat
Posted on Friday, 13th May 2022
Imagine if you could eat all your favorite foods all day long and not suffer any consequences. No weight gain, no tiredness, and no lack of energy.
It seems impossible, doesn’t it? But, actually, you can achieve it, as long as you know how to use healthy ingredients properly.
Currently, we have an industrialised food culture. We believe that the only way to make a decadent recipe is to include plenty of oil, salt, fat, and sugar in their refined forms. What we don’t realize is that none of that is necessary. There are wholefood alternatives that taste just as good, if not better in some circumstances
So what, specifically, are we talking about?
Date Bars
Dates are a type of fruit that contains around 80 percent sugar. They’re incredibly sweet, just like regular cane or beet sugar you find granulated in packets. However, because sugar is part and parcel of the fruit, the way it interacts with your body is totally different.
Making date bars is easy. Just combine them with some cashew nuts and vanilla extract and you’re good to go.
Apple, Banana, And Chia Seed Cookies
ABC cookies are doing the rounds at the moment because they make cookies healthy. The chia seeds replace the butter and egg, and the banana and apple replace the sugar. The result is a delicious recipe made almost entirely of healthy ingredients that will never cause you to put on weight.
Tortilla Chips
Most tortilla chips are made of refined corn fried in oil. They’re high in calories, low in nutrition, and foster weight gain.
But, it turns out that there is another way that you can enjoy salsa and guacamole: make it with whole corn tortillas.
Go to your local grocery store’s freezer section and look for corn wraps. Take them home and then pop them in the oven until they cook and dry out. The result is a low-salt, low-fat version of your favorite snack. What’s more, it’s wholegrain, which aids digestion.
Raspberry Ripple Icecream
Regular raspberry ripple ice cream is made of cream and sugar – two ingredients that will harm your health. However, you can make your own healthy version with frozen bananas and frozen raspberries.
It’s easy to do. Place both in your food processor with a little nut milk and then whizz it up until it has a thick, smooth consistency. Add sprinkles and other condiments to taste.
Bean Burgers
Bean burgers will never taste the same as regular burgers, but that doesn’t matter. They’re enjoyable in their own right and infinitely better for your body.
To make bean burgers, combine beans, oats, tahini, salt, pepper, parsley, and garlic in a food processor until you have a dough. Then serve with salsa, avocado, lettuce leaves, chopped red onion, and pickles.
Spelt Crust Pizza
Lastly, you might want to try making your very own spelt crust pizza. To do this, buy wholemeal spelt flour and then add yeast and warm water, leaving it to prove. Then roll it out, without kneading, to form a flat pizza base for your marinara sauce and toppings.
