Action Against Hunger World’s 50 Best Restaurants Auction

Action Against Hunger is running an auction on eBay for a chance to dine at one of San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Lot One of the auction ran between 21 April to 1 May. The second set of lots opened last week and will run until 14 May. There are dinners to be had at Per Se, Daniel and The French Laundry in the US amongst other countries, so get clicking.

    A great competition – eating at any one of these restaurants is a lifetime experience. I was so pleased this year to see some of the rankings. A good friend of mine, Aaron, is starting at Noma in a few weeks and I’ve been watching their progress for quite a while. And I was convinced that El Celler de Can Roca was being robbed of a third Michelin star after I ate there and met Joan Roca, so delighted to see them as the highest climber.

    Working at Noma would be an amazing experience. They seem to serve a new type of cuisine altogether.

    I think the rankings this year seem more genuine than last year, although there are a few restaurants in the list that I will wonder about…
